Professional Work
Media in Ghana
In the summer of 2023, I packed my bags for a six-week internship experience in Accra, Ghana. I worked for the Finder newspaper, a local print publication. Each day began at an assignment with one of my colleagues and ended in the office as we co-wrote the article before it had to be sent for print the following day. In the weekends and evenings, I went to local markets, tried new foods and visited many of Ghana's historical sights.
Daily Emerald
The Daily Emerald is an independent newspaper based in Eugene, Oregon. It is for students, by students. In 2022 I began working at the Daily Emerald as a writer focusing on multicultural and nontraditionsal students and community events. Today, I work as the Digital Managing Editor. I oversee the Daily Emerald's social media platforms, podcasts, videos and visuals.

FLUX Magazine
FLUX is a student-produced magazine for the school of Journalism and Communication at the University of Oregon. In 2023 I wrote a personal piece about a Holocaust survivor from Portland, Oregon and the rise of antisemitism for the back-of-book section. I also co-wrote a piece about techniques to destress.
Personal Projects
Art and Identity - Never Again
Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot and killed during an Israeli raid in Jenin, a Palestinian refugee camp, on May 11, 2022. Opposing narratives of the event were presented in international and domestic media. Both used the event as a tool to further political agendas within the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Glass Mosaics
In my free time, I create art pieces from broken glass. My love for glass mosaics began in sixth grade. I had just moved from Israel to Oregon and struggled to make friends. I joined the school's mosaics club and fell in love with the art form. Creating helped distract me from the social and academic struggles I was going through and make beauty out of broken pieces.
